PokerArabia by BetArabia migrates to GG Poker Network
Lebanese poker site PokerArabia has switched poker supplier, joining the global liquidity pool at GG Poker

GGPoker, the world’s biggest online poker site has agreed a deal with BetArabia, the online wing of Casino du Liban, the operator of the only licensed online gaming site in Lebanon.

BetArabia had previously used Evenbet as the supplier for their online poker site PokerArabia, which opened its doors in 2022.  The switch will take place by September 1st, allowing Lebanese players on PokerArabia to join the global liquidity pool on GG Poker, just in time to participate in the World Series of Poker Online, which continues until the end of September, 2024.

GG Poker already has the largest liquidity pool in the world, with up to 500,000 people online at peak times. While using Evenbet software, PokerArabia had been operating with liquidity no greater than 500 concurrent users at any time.

Players on GG Poker are unlikely to notice any uplift in participation on the site, as PokerArabia’s active poker playing customer base is equivalent to 0.1-0.2% of the overall player base on GG Poker.

Nevertheless, it is a significant move as access to a wider liquidity pool and huge range of products at GG Poker will surely help grow the game in Lebanon, a country which has a history of producing excellent poker players. Sammy Farha, Freddy Deeb and 2005 WSOP champion Joe Hachem are all of Lebanese descent.

Sarne Lightman, CEO of GGPoker, expressed his excitement about the partnership, stating,

This partnership with Casino Du Liban underscores our commitment to bringing global liquidity and the best online poker experience to players worldwide. Lebanese players can now look forward to joining the world's biggest poker community and competing in the best games and biggest tournaments available anywhere.

Jad Gharios, President and CEO of Online Support Services (operator of BetArabia and PokerArabia licensed by Casino du Liban), also commented on the partnership, saying,

We are constantly looking to provide our clients with the best services and products in the market, and our partnership with GGPoker complements this direction.

The deal has significant for the online poker industry in the Middle East, opening up opportunities for players to compete in the biggest online games on the world. It could also signal further growth and development in the region, however religious opposition to gambling will prove difficult to overcome in many Arabic countries.

The WSOP Online is one of many online series that takes place at the world's biggest poker room and is running until 30 September, with 33 bracelets to be won.

Players signing up with the Pokerwired GG Poker promo code 'wired' will receive a matched first deposit bonus of up to $600 and a welcome pack of tournament and cash game tickets.
