- Own Your Own Tournament – This is a particularly fun event for low rollers with a unique prize on the line. Officially known as the [Your Name] Deepstack Tournament, this daily $5.50 event comes with a $500 guarantee and gives players the chance to see the event named after them if they can play their cards right. Any player winning the tournament twice within 30 days earns the right to see the event renamed using his or her name for an entire month.
- Qualifiers – Look for numerous qualifiers (including for live events, see below) and satellites for many of the site’s events.
Daily tournament grinders are also in luck at WPTGlobal. Look for regular bounty and progressive knockout (PKO) events running each day at several buy-in levels. Also look for three daily $109 Deepstacks events as well as a $25 turbo version with a $2,000 guaranteed prize pool. Live Event Online Qualifiers
Beyond the online action, the site also hosts exclusive qualifiers to win a complete tournament package to WPT events around the world. Another nice example of synergy between the live tournament schedule and the online product was introduced in 2023 with the WPT500 Mexico City in 2023. This online/live hybrid event allowed players to begin the action online at WPTGlobal and then advance to play at the live event in Mexico City.
The WPT500 is another of the tour’s mid-tier live tournament series with buy-in usually priced in the $500 range and allowing for multiple starting days. In the Mexico City event, players could play as many starting flights as they wanted and then advance to the live Day 2 action bringing their best stack forward.
Another nice twist is that any player advancing with more than one stack earned a min-cash at least for the smaller stacks that didn’t advance. All players advancing to Day 2 also received a $1,000 travel allowance into their accounts for making their way to Mexico City.
These kinds of events could be just the tip of the iceberg for players in the coming years. Perhaps even more official WPT-branded events may reach the site at some point. Players will find $110 Passport qualifiers every Saturday and every Sunday. A $1,500 WPT Prime Passport is up for grabs in each event.
