Poker Tournaments Information
WSOP (World Series of Poker)
The World Series of Poker is the biggest event in live poker and online poker, captivating the attention of the poker world for seven weeks every summer. It draws in players from all over the planet, many of whom will have won their passage into the $10,000 Main Event of the WSOP through online satellites, held at the WSOP’s official online partner, GGPoker.

What is the difference between tournament and cash game poker?
In cash games, poker is played for cash and players can pick up their chips and cash them out at any time. Tournament poker is different, as once the players have paid their entrance fees they play with chips which do not have cash value, with the last remaining players (typically 12-15%) in each tournament winning cash prizes.
