What's New on Pokerbet?
- The Sunday Slam (R250,000 GTD):
Pokerbet's weekly flagship tournament runs every Sunday at 5:00 PM SAST. Buy-in is R700 + R70 (R770 total), putting a guaranteed quarter-million Rand on the line every single week. Feeder step satellites fire from Thursday through Sunday afternoon, giving players a path into the main event for as little as R22. - APC Tanzania Live Event Qualifiers: Pokerbet has partnered with MJPT to send online qualifiers to the All Africa Poker Championship (APC) in Tanzania. Target package winners receive a $1,000 Main Event buy-in, 10 nights hotel accommodation, airport transfers, official tour merchandise, and complimentary casino vouchers (flights arranged independently). Satellite paths run weekly in the tournament lobby.
- South African Online Poker Series (SAOPS) Spring Edition: The upcoming Spring 2026 festival runs from September 29 to October 4, 2026, guaranteeing over R4 Million spanning seven headline championship events. In addition to individual tournament payouts, series leaderboards reward consistent deep runs with cash bonuses, while top finishers can lock up Team Pokerbet packages valued up to R180,000 for international live events including WSOP Vegas and EPT festivals.

Pokerbet Weekly 10% Rakeback: How It Works and What It Is Worth
Every Rand you pay in cash table rake or tournament entry fees counts toward your weekly rakeback. Every Monday by 15:00 UTC, eligible players receive a flat 10% cash return deposited straight into their balance.
Indeed, 10% rakeback is quite low when some international poker rooms offer up to 50% rakeback. Top Pokerbet Online Series 2026 ScheduleAlso, as always, getting the benefits requires some volume, which does not favor casual players.
- For Active Grinders: If you put in serious evening volume at mid-stakes Hold'em, 5-card or 6-card PLO, or regular tournament fields, the flat 10% drops automatically as 100% withdrawable, wager-free cash.
- For Casual Players: If you only play a couple of low-stakes micro tables on weekends, you will likely fall short of the R1,500 rake mark and receive nothing. It is a system designed to reward active table volume.
Top Pokerbet Online Series 2026 Schedule

| SAOPS Winter Edition | June / July | R3,500,000+ GTD | Freezeouts and deepstack championship flights |
| SAOPS Spring Edition | September / October | R4,000,000+ GTD | 7 headline trophy events with leaderboard bonuses |
| Sunday Slam Weekly | Every Sunday 17:00 SAST | R250,000 GTD | R770 flagship tournament with feeders from R22 |

Pokerbet Promo Verdict
Let's be real about the welcome package: the deposit bonus and a free bet are nice bankroll boosters if you bet sports or play casino games but they are not going to do much for pure poker players.
That said, looking only at the welcome deal misses the bigger picture.
Their tournament schedule easily beats anything else running legally in South Africa. Between seasonal SAOPS festivals, the weekly Sunday Slam, and satellites feeding into international stops like APC Tanzania, the promotional value is built into the tournament lobbies rather than marketing gimmicks.
Oh yeah, and 10% back every week for active grinders gives something back for the effort. In the end, it's money in the bank or bankroll.
