Phenom Poker is a super well-made online poker room that targets the more fringe corners of poker with its mixed-games focus. Its closest competition is probably PokerStars, which also goes fairly heavy on mixed games, but not nearly as heavy as Phenom.
Phenom Poker's biggest weapon is game selection. More than 30 variants, regular mixed-game tournaments, Omaha formats everywhere, draw games, stud, Drawmaha, 8-Game, 9-Game, 10-Game and increasingly exotic formats, including Open-Face Chinese & Taiwanese, make Phenom one of the more unusual poker rooms around.
The downside is liquidity, because most players still hang out on NLHE and PLO.
The growing tournament schedule and major series like PSOP help solve some of that traffic problem, while also offering enough juice for more traditional players to keep things interesting.
