  • CoinPoker’s $50M GOPC generated $88.4M in prize money, with more than 2 million entries and 48,815 unique players.
  • Low and mid-stakes events drove huge fields, with the $11 and $55 Opening Ceremonies doubling their guarantees and four $1M GTD CoinMillions attracting 21,892 entries combined.
  • Next up is The One, a $250 buy-in with a $5M GTD, $1M guaranteed for first place and 26 starting flights running October 4-12.
GOPC served up $88.4M. Now everyone wants the winning recipe.
For many years, the online poker community lived in the belief that the heydays are over and the past booms were indeed ancient history, never to be repeated. But then CoinPoker enters the arena with its $50M Global Online Poker Championship (GOPC) and smashes all expectations, including the series guarantee, by almost $40 million.

What’s their secret juice? Yeah, that’s what every other operator is asking right now, and for good reason. Let’s go over the numbers and figure it out.

GOPC 2026 By The Numbers

According to final figures published by CoinPoker on September 29, the GOPC 2026 generated more than 2.1 million tournament entries from 48,815 unique players. A total of 6,231 tournaments were played during the festival, with more than 18.8 million hands dealt.

GOPC Opening Ceremonies Gave Multiple 100% Warnings

If you wanted an early warning that the GOPC was going to get completely out of hand, the Opening Ceremonies were probably it. CoinPoker threw out a bunch of relatively modest guarantees, and the players basically responded by puring gasoline on them.

The smaller buy-ins were particularly spicy. The $11 Opening Ceremony doubled its $15K guarantee, while the $55 version also doubled its $75K target. Even the $530 high-stakes version was boiling hot, smashing its $250K guarantee by more than $100K.

That is a pretty loud opening statement… and it was just the beginning.

GOPC $530 Main Event $3M GTD Draws 7,414 Entries

  • Winner: siema
  • 1st Prize: $423,605
  • Runner-up: DRATINI
  • 2nd Prize: $393,019 after the deal
The biggest prize pool of the series came in the $530 Main Event with $3,000,000 guaranteed. Just like most tournaments during the GOPC, the flagship easily crushed its initial benchmark by roughly 17.9%.

CoinPoker registered 7,414 entries to generate a final prize pool of $3,538,000. Champion "siema" pocketed a massive $423,605 payday for the victory, also locking up the title of biggest overall winner of the entire festival with $480,542 in total earnings.

CoinMillion Became Its Own Little Monster

Then we have the $215 CoinMillions, which deserve their own mention because four separate $1M guaranteed tournaments were packed into the GOPC 2026 schedule.

Only the first edition needed the guarantee to reach the $1M mark, while the other three comfortably went beyond it. Across all four events, the CoinMillions generated more than $4.18 million in prize money against $4 million in combined guarantees.

Not bad for a tournament that costs $215 to enter.

Puzzle Piece Detected!

CoinMillion success might actually be one of the biggest clues to the whole GOPC puzzle. You don't need to convince thousands of players to suddenly become high rollers.

Give recreational players a shot at a life-changing payday for around $200, add plenty of satellites, and suddenly a $1M guarantee doesn't look quite as ridiculous as it did on paper.

Mini Mains’ Global Reach Delivered Total over 45K Entries

  • $55 Global Main: 21,281 entries, winner Soygeld333 ($24,040)
  • $11 Global Mini Main: 26,060 entries, winner PenthousePrinz ($57,700)
CoinPoker had a pretty good idea where its GOPC Global Mains would land. The $11 Global Mini Main reeled in 26,060 entries, surpassing the $250K GTD by $10.6K, while the $55 Global Main banked $64,050 over its $1M GTD. Very good numbers.

What’s the Sauce Here?

The obvious truth is that most players globally are recreational, and for them, a $50-ish direct buy-in is much more realistic than +$100 buy-ins. Fiddy is the level up mark where premium low-stake players become mid-stake.

Winner Recipe Continues, Next Up: The One $5M GTD

CoinPoker The One $5,000,000 GTD, $1,000,000 1st Prize.

If you are wondering what CoinPoker is doing right, here is a major piece of the puzzle. While GGPoker and PokerStars rely on heavy high-roller buy-ins to hit their massive guarantees, CoinPoker targets the sweet spot where everyday players and mid-stakes bankrolls can join the party, supported by plenty of satellites.

With this winning recipe, the new banger is already cooking: The One, a $250 buy-in with a $5M GTD and a $1M guaranteed first prize, featuring 26 starting flights from October 4-12, with satellites and freerolls already offering cheaper routes into the action.

After watching the GOPC turn $50M into $88.4M, the obvious question is whether CoinPoker can pull the same trick one more time.

The ingredients are certainly there. Now we just need to see how hungry the poker community is for another slice.
