The Malta Poker Festival Spring 2026 concluded at Portomaso Casino with Robert McAdam winning the €500,000 GTD Grand Event for €104,475.

The Malta Poker Festival (MPF) Spring 2026 returned to the prestigious Portomaso Casino from April 19th to April 27th, delivering a spectacular week of high-stakes action and Mediterranean charm.

With a massive €500,000 Guaranteed Grand Event and a diverse line-up of side events, the festival has firmly established itself as a must-attend fixture on the European poker circuit.

The Grand Event: Robert McAdam’s Six-Figure Milestone

The crown jewel of the week was the MPF Grand Event, featuring a buy-in of €540+€60. The tournament shattered its guarantee, generating a record-breaking €684,390 prize pool.
From a final-day field of 12 hopefuls, Brit Robert McAdam emerged victorious.

The win marks McAdam’s first six-figure score, taking home €104,475 after a four-way deal was struck. At the time of the deal, Giuseppe Mazza-Boussemart held a commanding lead, while Pascal Inkert was the short-stack. Despite his advantage, Mazza-Boussemart finished in fourth place after a brutal cooler against McAdam.

The champion, an electronic payments consultant from North Wales, has enjoyed an incredible run in Spring 2026, including deep runs in Manchester and Amsterdam.

McAdam credited his newfound focus to his partner, Ewa, and their 14 month old son, Alfie. Notably, McAdam achieved this career-best result after winning his seat via a satellite, maximizing his return on investment.
