The high-stakes poker circuit has converged on Europe for the Triton Poker Series Montenegro May 2026 festival. Bringing together the world's most elite players, the early stretch of the tournament schedule has already crowned several champions.

The preliminary events featured massive prize pools, historic milestones, and dramatic final table showdowns.

Mike Watson Secures Sixth Triton Title

The fast-paced $30,000 No-Limit Hold'em Turbo event concluded on May 18, with Canada's Mike Watson coming out on top.

Watson walked away with $659,000, a payout that pushes his cumulative career Triton earnings toward the $19.5 million mark.

Watson has competed on the biggest stage of high-stakes poker for the past 20 years and shows no signs of slowing down. His victory in the Turbo event marks his sixth Triton title within a three-year span.

This latest triumph officially ties him with Punnat Punsri and Matthias Eibinger in terms of overall Triton wins, proving he remains a formidable opponent for anyone in the high roller scene.

Fedor Holz Triumphs in $40K Mystery Bounty

German superstar Fedor Holz demonstrated his enduring high-level capabilities by capturing the $40,000 NLH Mystery Bounty event. Although Holz does not play a heavy volume of poker tournaments these days, he successfully navigated the field to earn his fifth career Triton title.

Holz set up his deep run on the money bubble, where he managed to crack pocket kings and pocket jacks. After navigating to the final two spots, Holz struck a heads-up deal with Aleksejs Ponakovs to bank an initial $528,811 from the $4,440,000 base prize pool.

His final payout will increase significantly, as Holz also collected 11 mystery bounties during the event. With each envelope guaranteed to be worth at least $40,000, his total haul is likely to push beyond the $1 million mark once all envelopes are redeemed.

Mario Mosboeck Claims Fourth Career Title

In Event #3: $30,000 NLH 8-Handed, Austria's Mario Mosboeck added another chapter to his rapidly growing Triton poker résumé. Mosboeck collected a first-place prize of $928,000 after surviving a highly dramatic and swing-heavy final table.

The tournament concluded with an epic heads-up duel between two tour ambassadors, where Mosboeck defeated Danny Tang to secure the win.

Due to the intense and volatile nature of the final few hours of play, the action is expected to serve as essential viewing on Mosboeck’s YouTube channel over the next couple of weeks.

Anatoly Zlotnikov Outlasts Field in $25,000 NLH 8-Handed

Action kicked off with Event #2: $25,000 NLH 8-Handed, which attracted a competitive 119-entry field. Russian competitor Anatoly Zlotnikov emerged victorious to bank the $715,000 top prize. Zlotnikov navigated a marathon final table that featured some of the biggest names in the game.

The primary turning point of the tournament occurred at the feature table during a crucial clash against Ethan "Rampage" Yau. Zlotnikov rode a dramatic runner-runner hand that sent shockwaves through the table, shifting the momentum in his direction. He ultimately defeated Maher Nouira heads-up to secure the title.

Daniel Dvoress wins $25,000 NLHE Golden Decade

The $25,000 NLHE Golden Decade event at the 2026 Triton Poker Super High Roller Series in Montenegro bore witness to a rare poker trifecta.

Canadian star Daniel Dvoress outmaneuvered a 146-strong field to capture the lion's share of the $3,650,000 prize pool, taking home $849,000.

Dvoress, who recently broke through the milestone of $50 million in career live tournament earnings, achieved historical symmetry with the win.

By capturing this trophy, he has now won Triton events across three distinct disciplines: No-Limit Hold'em, Pot-Limit Omaha, and Short Deck, officially completing the coveted Triton Trident.
The opening events of the Triton Poker Series Montenegro festival have highlighted the ongoing dominance of veteran high rollers and established ambassadors.

With competitive fields, unique tournament formats, and millions of dollars awarded, the stage is set for the remainder of the high-stakes series.
