Mehdi Yazdanpanah secured Sweden’s first ring of the series in the €555 No-Limit Hold’em event, which attracted 677 entries and generated a €321,575 prize pool.

Arasch Mirzai gave Sweden two players in the top three, finishing third for €26,830. Two-time WSOP Europe bracelet winner Darius Neagoe placed fourth for €18,670.

Norway’s Tarjei Forus won Ring Event #6, the €1,100 PLO4/PLO5, after emerging from a 198-entry field.

It was Norway’s second ring of the festival following Vilde Ekren’s victory in the €350 Queens event.

Attention has now moved towards the €1,500 Main Event, which carries a €1 million guaranteed prize pool and five starting flights.

At the latest early Day 1D update on July 30, the field had reached 524 entries. That total included 130 players in the opening levels of Day 1D and will rise further before the completion of the faster Day 1E flight.

France’s Baptiste Caim leads the qualifiers from the completed flights with 1,098,000, making him the first player to bag a seven-figure stack. Fellow Frenchman Robin Vanloot sits second with 961,000, while Finland’s Jussi Julkunen is third on 796,000.
