  • New "last longer" betting now available
  • More prop bets coming soon
  • APAT live event qualifiers also now underway
Poker history is full of fun prop bets. The “last longer” is a popular wager, with players putting some cash up for grabs. The player who lasts the longest in a tournament collecting the prize pool.

Poker pros are no stranger to even stranger prop bets. Poker Hall of Fame member Huck Seed once accepted a challenge from fellow pro Howard Lederer to complete a standing back flip within two days. The 6-foot, 6-inch Seed’s uncle was an acrobat and helped him practice for two days. Seed completed the backflip and collected $10,000.

Online poker players may not be able to flip their way to $10K, but GGPoker is now bringing some of the prop bet fun to the platform. The company recently announced the new feature is live for players to check out.

The new feature allows players to compete in their own last longer wagers during tournament play. The player running the deepest collects some nice bonus winnings. Even more is in the works for the future.

“Right now the only prop bets available to create or join are ‘last longer’ ones within a tournament, but in the future we expect to add others, such as bankroll challenges,” GG head of public relations Paul Burke tells PokerWired. “For example, a group of friends create a prop bet with a target bankroll and the first player to reach it wins the bet.”

The site doesn’t charge a fee for prop bets, this is simply an entertaining feature players can use among themselves. The prospect of adding some of these options also brings more of the uniqueness of live tournament poker to the online arena.

GG also has another popular aspect of live poker already that’s unique to the site. Players can stake other players in tournaments, and collect a share of any winnings, right in the poker client.

  2. Click the “Prop Bet”icon at the top of the tournament page.
