WSOP week displayed top-tier poker mastery once again, but this time the spotlight fell on Canadian poker legend Daniel Negreanu and Czech powerhouse and famous trash-talker Martin Kabrhel, who juggled three tournaments around Vegas at the same time.

Dnegs' WSOP 2026 Grind Finally Pays Out

Bracelet number eight is officially in the bag for Daniel Negreanu, and this one came with a bit of theater attached. The $100,000 High Roller Pot-Limit Omaha field wasn't massive on paper, just 83 runners, but the money on the table was, with $7,968,000 up for grabs and a final table stacked with legit PLO specialists

Negreanu went heads-up against Artur Martirosian, and the matchup carried some extra intrigue as both men had spotless records in heads-up PLO before this duel, meaning somebody's streak was getting snapped no matter what. The bigger pots kept breaking Negreanu's way as the battle wore on, and eventually the 8th bracelet and hefty $2,257,718 payday was all in the Canadians corner.

It's worth pointing out the timing here too. This one wrapped up right as the $10,000 Main Event was getting underway, which meant Negreanu's win landed on one of the loudest days of the entire summer calendar. His WSOP cash total now sits north of $36,000,000, and he's tightened the gap on Michael "The Grinder" Mizrachi's nine bracelets in the process. The chase for the all-time bracelet record is still very much alive.

Martin Kabrhel Celebrates His 6th WSOP Bracelet

If Negreanu's win was a testament of legendary talent, Martin Kabrhel's was about pure chaos management. The Czech regular locked up bracelet number six in WSOP Online Event #20, a $3,200 No-Limit Hold'em High Roller, but the headline isn't really the win itself, it's what he was doing while he won it.

Kabrhel spent the day bouncing between the Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas, trying to keep runs alive in three separate WSOP events at the same time. Multi-tabling live and online simultaneously is already a logistical nightmare, let alone doing it deep into a 338-entry field and still finding a way to close it out. He got heads-up with Krista "Pollux" Gifford and got the job done, adding a $195,195 score and yet another piece of jewelry to his collection.

Gifford's runner-up finish is part of a strong summer for her as well. She already picked up her first WSOP bracelet back on June 14 in the $600 Mystery Bounty online event, and this deep run is more proof that the result wasn't a one-off.
