WCOOP 2026 Update #2: Titans Keep Proving Poker Is a Skill Game, Not Gambling

Renan Bruschi became the first player to win four WCOOP 2026 titles, with the Main Events still to come.
Brazilian poker pro Renan Bruschi is on a serious title quest after winning his 4th tournament of the WCOOP 2026 series. His total is now 13 WCOOP titles, placing him joint 6th on the all-time list, just behind Vieira, Åstedt and Strebkov, who all have 14 titles.
Bruschi was also on fire during the SCOOP earlier this year, where he banked 6 titles, and now he seems to be continuing the heater.
With top tournaments still left, all eyes are on the undisputed online poker titans, who have already proved that poker is absolutely a skill-based "mind sport", not gambling like "mainstream" wants us to believe.
Bruschi's 2026 Title Run: Bounty Scalps and Mixed-Games Mayhem
Renan "Internett93o" Bruschi's WCOOP era started in 2022, and since 2023 he's won at least 2 titles at every WCOOP.
This year he took a leap in his personal evolution by winning his first WCOOP mixed-games title in the $1,050 NL 2-7 Single Draw, and instead of two, he's already claimed four titles ("must be using RTA!!!, nobody that good without...waa!!!").
Will Bruschi's hot streak continue? He surely thinks so, but he's not the only titan who's been on fire, hunting the ultimate WCOOP glory as the remaining top events approach.

Other WCOOP 2026 Highlights This Week
- Johannes "Jepser8" Straver completed a rare hat trick with three Super Tuesday High Roller titles in three weeks. The first was the $10,300 edition, and this week he won the $5,200 version for the second week in a row. He beat 67 entries for $90,420, with Joao "Naza114" Vieira 2nd ($67,695). Jans "Graftekkel" Arends finished 3rd ($50,682), Simon "C. Darwin2" Mattsson 6th and Adrian "Amadi_017" Mateos 7th.
- "IgammiI€120" from Belarus won two $5K events on back-to-back nights. First came the $5,200 Titans for $98,517, beating Samuel "€urop€an" Vousden heads-up. The next night he won the $5,200 Bounty Builder SHR for $88,645, with $52,656 of that from bounties. That's three titles for him this series .
- Patrick "pads1161" Leonard was one win away from his 16th career title and his third of this series. He lost heads-up to Mexico's "Manolo Poppe" in the $530 Wednesday Surprise Mystery Bounty. Poppe won $18,947, mostly from bounties, for their second career title. Leonard took around $9K .
- Markku "markovitsus" Koplimaa from Estonia beat 971 entries in the $530 Titans to win $81,727 and his 4th WCOOP title. He also has two SCOOP titles .
- "MuUkR" from Ukraine won their second title of the series in the $1K Turbo PKO, beating Juan "Malaka$tyle" Pardo heads-up for $26,229, which included $12,188 in bounties. Niklas Astedt finished 3rd and Jamie "jamiedwan21" Dwan 4th.
- Patrick "thebigdog09" Brooks from the UK won his second title of the series in the $215 Super Tuesday for $28,154. His first was the $1K Saturday KO for $32,259.
- "flerrehuve" from Sweden won the $1K 7-Max PKO for $27,797, which was mostly bounties ($18,719). It's his 6th career WCOOP title .
- Peter "Belabacsi" Traply from Hungary won the $530 Bounty Builder HR for $44,237. It's his second WCOOP title, three years after the first.
- Dinesh "NastyMinder" Alt won the $109 7-Max PKO for $11,231, beating 782 entries. It's his first WCOOP win since 2021 .
- Brazil leads the country table with 68 titles, nearly double the UK's 35. Austria has 18, Canada 14 and Argentina 12.
