The 2025 WSOP concluded with historic achievements, including record entries, payouts, and prize pools.
The 56th annual World Series of Poker closed on July 16 at Paris Las Vegas and Horseshoe Las Vegas, setting historic benchmarks in tournament entries, prize pools, and overall payouts.
Ty Stewart, WSOP Chief Executive Officer, commented, “The poker renaissance was on full display at the 2025 WSOP. If you missed the amazing action, the good news is that you can inevitably expect bigger and better next year.”

The 2025 WSOP was also notable for introducing the WSOP+ app, which streamlined player registration and reduced wait times.
The series featured professionals, recreational players, and celebrities competing for WSOP bracelets throughout the summer.
WSOP 2025 Numbers
- Entries: 246,960 – highest total in WSOP history
- Prize Pool: $481,761,879 – largest total prize money awarded
- Payouts: 37,311 – highest unique payouts in a single series
- Million-Dollar Prizes: 43 awarded
Notable record-setting events
- Event #53 (Millionaire Maker No-Limit Hold’em): 11,996 entries, largest $1,500 buy-in field
- Event #89 (Mid-Stakes Championship NLH): 3,797 entries, largest $3,000 buy-in field
- Event #86 (Mystery Bounty PLO): 5,284 entries, largest PLO field
The series also registered 57 events with prize pools above $2 million and 9 events exceeding $10 million, both surpassing previous records.
Looking Ahead
The WSOP Circuit (WSOP-C) 2025 Season Part 2 is currently underway. WSOP Paradise returns from December 4 to 18 in the Bahamas, while WSOP Europe is scheduled from September 12 to October 8, with the Main Event starting October 3.
