The 2026 World Series of Poker generated $469.9 million in prize money across 251,899 total entries. Organizers collected $47.3 million in tournament fees, retaining $33.1 million while paying $14.2 million to staff, alongside an estimated $5,524,800 Main Event rake total.

While thousands of poker players leave Las Vegas each summer with smaller bankrolls than when they arrived, evaluation of tournament operations provides clear insight into how the World Series of Poker (WSOP) performed as an event host.

Ahead of the Main Event final table, an analysis published by pokerfuse detailed the financial scope and participation figures for the 2026 WSOP. The data outlines record attendance alongside total tournament fee collection across the entire schedule.

The 2026 festival reached an all-time participation record with 251,899 total entries, a figure that includes re-entries.

Statistics regarding unique player count were unavailable, and the overall entry benchmark was achieved despite contraction observed across multiple individual events on the schedule.

Driven by these participation numbers, the series awarded $469.9 million in total prize money. A major contributor to this sum was the Main Event, which stood as the fourth largest in tournament history.

Generating an $85.6 million prize pool, the Main Event alone accounted for nearly one-sixth of the total prize funds distributed throughout the series.
Organizers collected $47.3 million in total tournament fees across the festival. Out of this fee total, the World Series retained $33.1 million in operator revenue, while $14.2 million went toward staff compensation.

The overall fee collection figures emerged during a series that experienced notable dealer and tournament director errors.

Outside of the pokerfuse breakdown, additional calculations estimate that the 2026 Main Event generated $5,524,800 in operator rake.

This single-event rake figure nearly matches the prize money designated for the tournament's second-place finisher.

While these financial statistics reflect substantial figures, they correspond to the unique structure of the festival.

The World Series of Poker runs the longest single tournament series globally, featuring fields that routinely attract thousands of entrants per event, with select tournaments reaching tens of thousands of participants.
