Irish Open Marrakech 2026
For decades, the Irish Poker Open has been one of those fixtures that tells European poker players roughly where they are in the calendar. To poker, spring means Dublin, packed tables and a tournament whose history stretches back to 1980.

This year, however, the festival went on a world tour. After making its first international appearance in Sydney in September, the Irish Open is heading to a different climate for its next stop, with Marrakech becoming both its first Moroccan destination and its first event in Africa. 

From November 10–15, Casino de Marrakech will host six days of poker, 36 numbered tournaments and a €500,000 guaranteed Main Event, bringing one of Europe’s oldest poker names to North Africa for the first time.

Four Flights Into the €500,000 Main Event

The Irish Open may have travelled several thousand kilometers from Dublin, but the Main Event remains the tournament everything else is built around.

The Marrakech edition costs 12,500 MAD, roughly €1,155–€1,156, and carries a €500,000 guaranteed prize pool. Players receive 50,000 chips and can choose from four starting flights spread across three days.

Day 1A begins at noon on Wednesday, November 11, before Day 1B follows at the same time on Thursday. Friday contains both Day 1C at 11 a.m. and the final Day 1D Turbo at 7 p.m.

How to Qualify for the Irish Open Marrakech Main Event

There are two routes into the Main Event without paying the full 12,500 MAD directly: online qualification before the trip and live satellites once players arrive in Marrakech.

The festival site lists PokerStars, Paddy Power, Winamax and iPoker among the online operators running qualification routes. 

Once the festival begins, the live route becomes considerably easier to follow. Main Event satellites run throughout November 10–13, with buy-ins ranging from 1,500 MAD to 2,800 MAD.
