GG Poker Launches Road to Vegas
GG Poker launches WSOP Road to Vegas Satellite Promotion.

While satellites to the main event of the 2024 WSOP have been available on GG Poker for a couple of weeks already, the world’s largest poker site has now officially launched the promotion that will see at least 1,000 online players take their seats in the world’s richest poker tournament.

Players on GG Poker can compete every Sunday in Road to Vegas satellites that cost $1,200 to enter and award $12,000 packages for every 10 players registered.

What’s in the Package?

Each $12,000 Package includes:

  • $10,000 WSOP Main Event Buy-in
  • $1,000 towards accommodation
  • $1,000 Travel Expenses

Additional Benefits

But that’s not all, as well as the main event buy-in and expenses, Road to Vegas qualifiers also benefit in a number of additional ways, as GG Poker is the exclusive online partner of the WSOP for players outside the USA.

  • Skip the line for direct buy-in
  • Access to the exclusive GG Platinum Lounge, with drinks and snacks provided
  • Special gift package with official GG Poker and WSOP merchandise
  • Discounted hotel options at Caesar's proprties

$1m Bonus Payout

The winner of the WSOP will likely collect a main event record payout of in excess of $12m, but if they are a GG Poker online qualifier and have worn the GG Poker patch throughout the event, they will pick up an additional $1m for their efforts. While this is a great additional prize, it seems almost superfluous that the main event winner could pick up an additional $1m. It would be a great gesture if the winner donates this extra prize to charity. Fingers crossed that someone with a charitable heart wins the event and has qualified on GG Poker.

How to get involved

Over 10,000 satellites will take place during the qualifying period, with the main qualifier taking place on Sunday evenings at 6.30pm (UK), costing $1,200 to enter. While most players don’t have the bankrolls to support buying in directly to a four figure satellite, there are cheaper feeder satellites to enable players to gain entry to the Sunday qualifiers.

Currently the cheapest satellites are priced at $20 and they award seats into a $150 buy-in satellite that awards seats into the Sunday direct qualifier. Although not yet confirmed, it’s expected that GG Poker will add another layer of satellites that are cheaper than $20, which would make access truly open to all players on the site.

The Main Event Maynia 6.30pm Sunday qualifiers currently have 25 packages guaranteed, however even with a soft launch over the last two weekends, these guarantees were blown away. The first satellite on March 10th generated 23 packages with a 10 package guarantee, while last Sunday’s version produced 33 seat winners with 25 guaranteed. It’s highly likely that the 25 package guarantee will be increased  during the qualification period.

As well as the Sunday satellites, there are also some Road to Vegas satellites throughout the week, some also priced at $1,200 with varying guarantees and other priced at $250.

If you want to participate, but are are yet to register, use the GG Poker bonus code WIRED to get started with a 100% deposit match worth up to $600.
