If the international poker circuit has a "home game" that everyone actually looks forward to, it is Barcelona in the spring. Over the weekend, 888poker confirmed its return to the Catalan capital from May 14 to May 24, 2026, setting up shop at the long-standing Casino Barcelona. 

While the live action is still weeks away, the window for entry has already opened; online satellites officially began on March 29, offering a path from a one-cent buy-in to a seat overlooking the Mediterranean.

The €888 Anchor

The festival is built around the 888poker LIVE Barcelona Main Event, a €888 buy-in tournament that remains the series' center of gravity. Running from May 20 to May 24, the event features four starting flights, including a final "Turbo" chance on the morning of May 23.

The structure is designed for those who prefer a bit of room to breathe. Players start with 50,000 chips and navigate 40-minute levels during the opening days, which stretch to hour-long levels for the final day of play. For the sake of pace, a 30-second shot clock and Big Blind Ante will be enforced starting on Day 2.

Qualifying for "The Coast"

For those who find the direct buy-in a bit steep, the online qualification path is currently live. The primary target for most will be the $109 Main Event Qualifier, which awards a $1,800 package. This bundle covers the €888 tournament entry, $500 for local accommodation, and $330 toward travel expenses. Given the city's popularity in May, these packages tend to be a high-priority target for the site's online regulars.
