GGPoker has signed Chilean legend Arturo Vidal as its first football ambassador. This landmark partnership aims to expand the platform's footprint in Latin America.

In a move that signals a bold shift in its marketing strategy, GGPoker has officially welcomed Arturo Vidal to its ambassador team. The Chilean midfielder makes history as the first professional footballer and the first Chilean representative to join the site’s prestigious line-up.
Traditionally, GGPoker has built its reputation by recruiting elite professional poker players for its Team Pro roster. 

However, the addition of Vidal indicates a broader mission to bridge the gap between mainstream sports and the world of high-stakes gaming. By bringing in a high-profile athlete, GGPoker is looking to engage fans who may not yet be part of the core poker community.

Vidal’s football resume is nothing short of legendary. Having played for powerhouse clubs like Juventus, Bayern Munich, FC Barcelona, and Inter Milan, he is a household name in European and South American football. 

As a cornerstone of Chile’s "golden generation," he secured back-to-back Copa América titles in 2015 and 2016 and has earned over 140 caps for his country. He currently competes for the Chilean club Colo-Colo.

Proven Success at the Tables

Vidal is no stranger to the intensity of the poker table. In 2019, he demonstrated his skill by competing in a high-stakes European Poker Tour event alongside former teammate Gerard Piqué. 

Participating in a €25,000 buy-in tournament, Vidal secured an impressive fifth-place finish. Combined with Piqué’s runner-up placement, the duo walked away with nearly half a million euros in prize money.

His passion for gaming extends beyond tournaments. Vidal has previously collaborated with various betting brands and launched his own platform, "Juego con el King," further cementing his influence in the digital entertainment space.

Expanding Global and Regional Appeal

The partnership is a calculated move to solidify GGPoker’s presence in Latin America. Vidal’s immense popularity in Chile and across the continent provides a powerful entry point into one of the fastest growing markets for online poker.
