WPT Global Launches WPT Asia Series Overdrive with Massive Guarantees and Triple Ring Challenge

The festival guarantees a combined prize pool exceeding ¥200,000,000 (approximately $30,000,000 USD). Running from July 19 to August 30, 2026, the schedule is anchored by 13 coveted WPT Championship Rings. 

These trophies are split into two primary paths, ensuring access for players of all bankroll levels:

• Sunday Ring Overdrive Events: Seven flagship tournaments running every Sunday, escalating from the opening Ignition flight to the massive Grand Prix Main Event.

• Mystery Phase Events: Six multi-flight championships running throughout the series, allowing qualifiers to secure their Day 2 berths for buy-ins starting as low as ¥55 (~$8 USD).

Importantly, this challenge is ongoing and has no cap on the number of potential winners. Furthermore, any rings earned during previous stops, such as the WPT Asia Series in February 2026, remain fully eligible and count toward the triple-ring requirement.

Volume and consistency are covered through the ¥2,000,000 Overdrive Leaderboards. Spanning six distinct weekly races, this promotional track pays out direct cash prizes across hundreds of positions. 

Players accumulate leaderboard points using a three-pronged formula:

1. Tournament Points: Calculated based on the buy-in tier and the player’s final finishing position in any series event.

2. Early Bird Points: Awarded to players who register for a tournament before the first cards are dealt, capped at 30 points per day.

3. Bubble Points: Granted as a consolation boost to players who bust directly on the tournament bubble.

To ensure that casual players and micro-stakes specialists can share in the festival’s promotional value, WPT Global has designated ¥2,100,000 in total prizes for Daily Missions. Players earn tickets to hourly automated All-In Flip tournaments by completing daily tasks, such as making deposits, playing specific events, or clearing designated casino wagering metrics.

The survivors of these hourly flips advance directly to the Daily Final tournament. Running every night at 22:30 UTC+8, each Daily Final features a guaranteed prize pool of ¥50,000.
