Lucas Jumalon holds the chip lead with 194,000,000 for the WSOP Main Event final table on August 3. The final nine players, including veterans Greg Mueller and Michael Gagliano, have locked up $1,000,000 while chasing the $10,000,000 first prize.

The final table of the World Series of Poker Main Event has officially been determined. A field that drew the attention of the global poker community has been narrowed down to the final nine players, each now guaranteed at least a seven-figure payday.

Leading the charge into the conclusion of poker's most prestigious tournament is 22-year-old Lucas Jumalon, who built a towering stack during an impressive Day 8 performance.

Jumalon accumulated a massive total of 194,000,000 chips to secure the pole position. When play resumes on August 3, he will stand just eight eliminations away from becoming the next world champion.

The young chip leader earned his spot at the top by personally setting the final table, eliminating the reigning Aussie Millions Main Event champion, Malcolm Trayner, in 10th place to end the day.

The battle for the $10,000,000 first-place prize and the diamond championship bracelet features a mix of rising stars and highly accomplished veterans. Rounding out the top three chip stacks behind Jumalon are Rami Hammoud and Jamie Shaevel.

The final nine lineup also includes extensive poker pedigree. Among the remaining contenders are Canada's Greg Mueller, a three-time bracelet winner, and America's Michael Gagliano, who holds four World Series of Poker bracelets.

While the remaining nine players have locked up a minimum payout of $1,000,000, the ultimate focus remains on the life-changing top prize waiting at the end of the road.

The path to the final table required navigating a highly competitive Day 8 field. At the start of the day, 21 players returned to the felt, drawing significant spotlight due to the presence of multiple former champions and tournament crushers.

Among those returning was nine-time bracelet winner and reigning Player of the Year Shaun Deeb, alongside Dylan Smith, a prominent tournament player who captured his first career bracelet earlier in this series.

Also in contention was Wilson, an accomplished player with $13 million in career earnings who had already won four tournaments this year.

Former champions and poker legacy storylines also filled the room. The 2019 Main Event champion, Hossein Ensan, sought to secure a historic second title within seven years.

Meanwhile, Poker Hall of Fame member Todd Brunson put together his deepest Main Event run in three decades, attempting to join his legendary father, Doyle Brunson, as only the second father-son duo to reach the final table.

The action on Day 8 provided plenty of variance. Brunson managed an early triple-up when his ace-king rivered a pair of aces in a three-way all-in encounter, cracking Wilson's pocket kings and Trayner's pocket queens.

However, Brunson's run ended in 20th place when Trayner hit a flush on the river to beat Brunson's pocket aces.

Ultimately, all of these high-profile contenders fell short of the final table, leaving the spotlight to the remaining nine competitors.

The tournament is now on a three-week hiatus, allowing the players time to prepare for the final stretch. When the action resumes in August, play will pick up in Level 39 with exactly 56:40 remaining on the clock.

The blinds will stand at 1,000,000/1,500,000 alongside a 1,500,000 big blind ante, setting the stage for an intense conclusion to the world's biggest poker tournament.
