WSOP Circuit Calgary 2026
The 2026 WSOP Circuit Calgary series has crowned six champions at Deerfoot Inn & Casino. Pavel Krumer, Jimmy Mak, Stephen Klaamas, Sebastian Crema, Michael Sullivan and DJ Sharma won rings, with prizes ranging from $24,032 to $42,835.

The 2026 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Circuit Calgary stop at Deerfoot Inn & Casino has crowned six champions across Events #5, #6, #7, #8, #9 and #11, with prize money ranging from $24,032 to $42,835. 

Pavel Krumer, Jimmy Mak, Stephen Klaamas, Sebastian Crema, Michael Sullivan and DJ Sharma each secured a gold ring as the series moved through its opening and middle stages.

Running from September 30 to October 12, 2026, the Calgary festival features 18 ring events. Five of the six champions covered here earned their first WSOP Circuit rings, while Sharma collected his third. Krumer and Klaamas also recorded their first live tournament victories.

Pavel Krumer claimed his first WSOP Circuit ring in Event #5, the $600 Mystery Bounty No-Limit Hold'em tournament held on October 3. The event featured a $315 plus $200 plus $85 buy-in structure and attracted 379 entries, generating $195,185 in total prizes.

The prize pool comprised $119,385 in regular payouts and $75,800 in bounties. Krumer earned $24,032 in prize money and an additional $5,169 in bounties, bringing his combined winnings to approximately $29,000.

Jimmy Mak won Event #6, the $400 Seniors No-Limit Hold'em tournament, which ran across October 4 and 5. The event carried a $330 plus $70 buy-in and drew 459 entries, creating a $151,470 prize pool.

Mak secured $28,974 and his first WSOP Circuit ring after building a substantial chip lead at the final table. He subsequently defeated Rodney Poirier heads-up to complete the victory. Poirier received $19,288 for finishing second.

Event #7, a $600 No-Limit Hold'em tournament, took place on October 4. With a $515 plus $85 buy-in, the event attracted 359 entries and generated a $184,885 prize pool.

Stephen Klaamas emerged as the champion, earning $37,763. The victory delivered both his first WSOP Circuit ring and his first live tournament win, making it a significant career milestone.

Klaamas doubled through Michael Khan during the final table before Khan exited in third place for $17,577. Klaamas then defeated Parth Mansukh in heads-up play to secure the title. Mansukh received $25,154 for his runner-up finish.

Sebastian Crema captured Event #8, the $500 No-Limit Hold'em Progressive Knockout tournament, which began at 11 a.m. on October 5. The event featured a $220 plus $200 plus $80 buy-in and attracted 477 entries, the largest field among the six tournaments covered here.

The tournament generated $200,340 in total prizes, comprising $104,940 in prize money and $95,400 in bounties.

Crema earned $16,537 in prize money and collected another $21,500 in bounties. The victory secured his first WSOP Circuit ring and added to the ten previous tournament victories in his career.

Michael Sullivan won Event #9, the $1,000 No-Limit Hold'em tournament played across October 5 and 6. The event featured an $875 plus $125 buy-in, attracted 209 entries and generated a $182,875 prize pool. A total of 32 players reached the money.

Sullivan collected $42,835, the largest payout among the six champions covered here. The result marked his fourth live tournament victory and his first WSOP Circuit ring.

Hernandez finished second for $28,296, while Sheng Qiu took third for $19,134. Jeffery Cormier rounded out the reported top four with $13,307.
DJ Sharma won Event #11, the $1,000 No-Limit Hold'em Turbo, which began at 4 p.m. on October 6 and concluded in the early hours of October 7.

The tournament carried an $875 plus $125 buy-in and drew 167 entries, the smallest field among the six events covered here. The resulting prize pool totalled $146,125.

Sharma earned $35,126 for the victory, securing his third WSOP Circuit ring and his first at Deerfoot Inn & Casino. His two previous rings came in Montreal, and he entered the tournament with close to $600,000 in lifetime earnings.

WSOP Circuit Calgary: Series Schedule and Remaining Events

The six victories form part of an 18-ring-event schedule at Deerfoot Inn & Casino, with the series set to conclude on October 12.

The opening weekend, covering the first seven events, attracted 3,813 entries and awarded $1,441,821 in total prizes. The $400 Mini Main Event was a standout tournament, drawing 1,907 entries and generating $628,586 in prizes. Gennady Klimenko won the event for $80,611.

The broader schedule also includes the $400 Monster Stack as Event #10 and the $2,300 No-Limit Hold'em Main Event as Event #12, which runs across three starting flights.

Later tournaments on the schedule include a $400 Ladies Event, a $400 PLO Bounty, an $800 H.O.R.S.E. 8-Max, a $500 No-Limit Hold'em Freezeout and a $3,500 No-Limit Hold'em High Roller.

With the festival continuing through October 12, the remaining events will complete the 2026 WSOP Circuit Calgary schedule.
