WSOP 2025 Week 2: Benny Glaser Adds To His Bracelet Tally

Week 2 at the World Series of Poker (WSOP) witnessed some intense grind with more players being crowned as champion. While some players added to their bracelet tally, some others scooped their maiden bracelet. GGPoker ambassador Daniel Negreanu missed out on scoring his 8th gold bracelet in Event 9 after Ryan Bambrick took down the event for his second WSOP bracelet. 

Let us have a look at Week 2 results of WSOP 2025.

Ryan Bambrick secured his second WSOP bracelet after beating Daniel Negreanu heads-up. The total entries were 217 which generated a final prize pool of $2,018,100. The winner’s prize money was $470,437.

Michael Wilklow scooped the Mystery Millions title and had a payday of $1 Million. The total entries who battled it out for the top spot were 19,654. This massive entry pool generated a prize pool of $17,295,520. 

The runner-up was Michael Acevedo. This event offered two hefty bounties worth $1,000,000. Tyler Montoya and Thomas Zanot grabbed the top bounties on Day 2 of the tournament.

Event #10: $600 No-Limit Hold’em Deepstack

Kenneth Kim won his maiden WSOP bracelet in this Deepstack event. Kim claimed the lion’s share of $318,842 from the prize pool worth $3,069,360. The total entries were 6,090 who fought for the top spot. 

This tournament was nailed by Yosef Fox for a sum of $729,333. The event generated a prize pool of $5,728,800 from the 616 entries who participated. 

Talking about the title holder, Yosef and his son Jorden are now both bracelet winners. They join the ranks of Doyle and Todd Brunson who have nailed the coveted bracelet. 

The top bounty worth $250,000 was also claimed by the first place finisher after he eliminated Patrick Kennedy in fifth position. 

This event was shipped by Brad Ruben. For the American player, this was his fifth WSOP bracelet in five years. This puts Ruben in the same league as Phil Ivey, Doyle Brunson, and Phil Hellmuth—players who have won 5 WSOP bracelets in a five-year period. 

Overall only 41 players in WSOP history have managed to achieve this feat. Talking about the winner's prize money, Ruben had a payday of $138,080 after beating a player pool of 532 entries. 

This tournament title went to Christopher Staats for his second WSOP bracelet. The player took the top spot for a sum of $414,950. The final prize pool was $3,124,935 thanks to the 2,354 total entries. 

Previously, Staats won a WSOP bracelet in an online tournament in the year 2022. The player nailed his maiden bracelet in a high roller 6 max event. The runner-up was David Jackson from the United States for a prize money worth $276,562.

Lou Garza nailed his second WSOP bracelet in this event. The bracelet winner clinched the top spot for a sum of $1,302,233 after beating 2011 WSOP Player of the Year Ben Lamb. 

The runner-up had a payday of $868,140. The event had a prize pool of  $5,757,500 thanks to the total entries of 245.

UK player Benny Glaser won his seventh WSOP bracelet in Event 15. This was Glaser’s second bracelet in a week’s time. Previously, Glaser took down the Dealer’s Choice event for his sixth bracelet.

The $1,500 buy-in event had a final prize pool of $1,644,773. The total entries in this mixed game event were 1,239. The winner of Event 15 took a pay cheque of $258,193. The runner-up was Travis Pearson for $172,077.

This PLO event was nailed by Cristian Gutierrez from Colombia for $193,780. The event had 3,110 entrants which led to the final prize pool settling at $1,657,008. This tournament gave Gutierrez his maiden WSOP bracelet and a spot in WSOP’s history books.

Scott Bohlman won his second WSOP bracelet in Event 17. The winner took a pay cheque of $436,044 for his first-place finish. The event had 1,692 entries which led to the final prize pool resting at $3,011,760. The runner-up was Dusti Smith for $290,588.

This event was shipped by Ryan Hoenig for a sum of $354,444 from a final prize pool of $1,413,600. Hoenig clinched his first WSOP bracelet after beating a player field of 152. The title holder now has 15 WSOP cashes in all with his live tournament earnings crossing the $1 million mark. 

Michael Lavin won his second WSOP bracelet in Event 20. The top spot winner had a payday of $267,373. The final prize pool settled at $1,791,646 as 1,299 entries registered for this tournament. The prize money from Event 20 was Lavin’s biggest tournament career cash.

This event was shipped by Canadian poker player Zachary Zaret for a payday of $248,245. This was Zaret’s first-ever WSOP gold bracelet which he won after beating Calvin Anderson. 

The event had 1,176 entries which led to the final prize pool settling at $1,561,140. The final table had bracelet winners and mixed game specialists but ultimately, Zaret scooped the title. 

This High Roller tournament was nailed by Blaz Zerjav from Slovenia. The winner took the biggest share of prize money worth $1,734,717 from a prize pool of $7,896,000. 

The event had 336 entries which battled for the coveted bracelet. But in the end, it was the 28-year old who shipped the event after beating well-known player Chris Moorman ($1,129,608) heads-up.
