The GG Masters Overlay Edition 2024 is now underway, with the first three of nine starting days taking place last weekend on Sunday 18th February. It’s billed as being an overlay edition as GGpoker fully expects it to miss its guarantee, but we’re not so sure it will actually have an overlay.

The tournament costs $150 to enter and there are still six further starting days this weeekend to claim a place in day 2, which takes place on Monday 26th February.

The first three starting days produced a combined 23,355 entries, which equates to $3,222,990 contributed to the prize pool. The tournament needs 72,464 entries to meet its guarantee, which means they are almost one third of the way there after the first round of starting days.

It certainly looks like they might make it and if they do, what next? GG Poker would surely have to add some more prize money to ensure an overlay.

Live Event Satellites on GG Poker

Currently running on GG Poker are satellites to the Eurasian Poker Tour (EAPT) Malta event and the Triton Series Super High Roller Jeju festival.

The EAPT Malta main event takes place at Portomaso Casino, St Julians from 5-10 April, 2024 with €165 satellites running on GG Poker on Sunday evenings, with €16.50 feeders into these running daily.

The Triton Super High Roller Series Jeju will include a GG Milliion$ Live event with a $26,500 buy-in and the last satellite for this is running this Sunday on GG Poker.

The buy-in for the satellite is pretty high roller too, costing $2,650, however players can win seats into this via daily feeders priced at $250 and even these have $25 sub feeders, so there is a cheap way in for those who can’t afford it (and lets be honest, that’s most of us).

WSOP Satellites Coming Soon on GG Poker

The wait is almost over. In mid-March, GG Poker is expected to launch satellites for the main event of the World Series of Poker, with 1,000 packages rumoured to be guaranteed this time around.
