Flashback: When Alex Foxen Hit Runner Runner Flush At WSOP Europe 2024

This Flashback Friday, we’ll look into a hand that played out during the World Series of Poker (WSOP) Europe 2024. Alex Foxen, a two-time WSOP bracelet winner, locked horns with Victor Bloom.
Foxen was playing with 43 suited while the Swedish player had T8 offsuit. The 9KJQ appeared on the board with both players checking the turn.
Bloom sat with a K-high straight and Foxen needed a spade to hit that flush. The river of 2s handed the lead to Foxen and saw him raise 459K in response to Bloom’s 86K bet.
The Swedish pro took his time and folded his straight against Foxen’s flush, giving the latter a pot worth 653K.
The WSOP Europe 2024 was among the highly anticipated live poker events in the circuit. Since the news of NSUS Group buying the WSOP brand, many have been looking forward to seeing how the upcoming events are presented.
After WSOP Europe 2024, the next big live poker series will be hosted in December 2024. The WSOP Paradise runs from December 6 to 19 at the Atlantis Resort in The Bahamas.
The upcoming tournament series has listed the biggest live poker tournament guarantee in its schedule. The Super Main Event comes with a massive guaranteed prize pool of $50 Million.
