PokerStars’ Sunday Million has reached the final table of its first live edition since 2017, with nine players remaining at Casino di Campione in Italy and €150,000 waiting for the winner.

The €250 Sunday Million Live ran from October 2 to 12 as part of PokerStars’ 25th anniversary celebrations. The event combined online and live starting flights before the surviving field converged on Campione d’Italia, on the shores of Lake Lugano.

PokerStars reported 5,213 entries across the tournament, enough to push the final prize pool to €1,119,853 and comfortably clear the advertised €1 million guarantee. A total of 650 players made the money.

Riccardo D’Errico Takes Huge Lead Into Final Table

Riccardo D’Errico will begin the final day with 75,600,000 chips, more than double the stack of his nearest challenger.

Jingchun Yu is second with 35,500,000, while Andrea Celestino starts third on 25,500,000. Former Day 2 leader Paolo Compagno remains firmly in contention with 24,900,000.

The gap at the top is significant. With blinds returning at 500,000/1,000,000 with a 1,000,000 big blind ante, D’Errico will start with roughly 75 big blinds. Yu has around 35, while most of the chasing group sits between 17 and 26 big blinds.

Sunday Million Returns to the Live Felt

The Sunday Million is best known as PokerStars’ flagship online tournament, but the 2026 edition brought the name back to the live felt for the first time in nine years.

Players had several routes into Day 2, including three online starting flights and six live Day 1 flights in Campione. The live flights carried a €250 buy-in and 50,000 starting stacks, with each playing down to 12.5% of the field.

The format helped produce a field large enough to beat the €1 million guarantee while keeping the low buy-in, large-field character that has defined the Sunday Million online.

Final Table Streaming on October 12

The final table is scheduled to begin at 2:00 pm CEST on October 12, with play continuing until a champion is crowned.

PokerStars is providing a live stream from Campione, giving viewers a chance to follow the final nine as D’Errico attempts to convert his commanding lead into the title.

The event has produced a major turnout for the return of Sunday Million Live. By the end of the day, one of the nine finalists will have turned a €250 entry into the €150,000 first prize.
