UK Women's Weekend 2026
UK Ladies Weekend is still two weeks away, but one part of the program has already run out of room.

The Women’s Poker Association UK Ladies Weekend heads to The Hippodrome Casino in London from October 16-18, combining women’s cash games, coaching sessions and a £20,000 guaranteed tournament.

Interest in the Saturday coaching pragram has been strong enough for every seat to be taken before the festival begins.

Cash Games Open the Weekend on Friday

Friday starts with poker. The Hippodrome will spread dedicated women’s cash games, giving the weekend an informal opening before Saturday moves away from the tables.

A livestream will run alongside the action, with commentary and discussion available for anyone following remotely.

Saturday Coaching Day Already Full

Saturday brings together several well-known names from poker and gaming for an afternoon built around improving away from the tables.

Former chess professional Jennifer Shahade will discuss different ways of thinking about poker, while Marle Spragg is scheduled to work through tournament hands and decision-making.

The sell-out gives the weekend an early indication of demand before any tournament cards have been dealt.

£20K Tournament Takes Over on Sunday

Around 15 players had already qualified when the event details were published on October 1.

Direct registration will also be available, while the final live satellite is scheduled at The Hippodrome on October 14.

More Than Another London Tournament

London hardly lacks live poker, so the tournament alone is not really what separates this weekend from the rest of the calendar.

The emphasis is split between playing, learning and meeting other women in the game. That gives newer players an entry point that does not begin with immediately sitting in a tournament, while more experienced players still get a meaningful closing event with a £20,000 guarantee.

Saturday selling out in advance suggests that side of the program has found an audience. The next question is whether the Sunday field follows suit.
