Biggest Online Poker Cash Game Winners
Tournament poker almost always leaves a paper trail. Cash games usually don't, which makes a new dataset covering roughly 2.6 billion No Limit Hold’em hands particularly interesting.

Research from QuintAce has pulled together tracked results from WPT Global, CoinPoker, GGPoker, WPN/ACR and PokerStars, giving us rare insight into who has been winning the most in some of online poker’s biggest cash games.

One name is well clear of the rest. huangyangliu leads the rankings with more than $5.3 million in tracked profit on WPT Global.

WPT Global Player Leads by Nearly $3 Million

huangyangliu’s total of $5,306,952 comes across 702,743 tracked hands, leaving a sizeable gap to second-place biglucky88.

The runner-up, also playing on WPT Global, has accumulated more than $2.45 million.

CoinPoker’s KayhanMok sits third with $2.31 million despite a much smaller sample of 71,383 hands, while TyCobb7 becomes the third WPT Global player inside the top four.

This spread also shows how differently players have built those totals. Some have logged hundreds of thousands of hands; others have reached seven-figure profits with a fraction of that volume.

Leikkonen Does More With Fewer Hands

That difference is most obvious with Markus Leikkonen. The Finnish high-stakes regular sits fifth overall with $1,976,750 in profit, but the result comes from only 50,545 tracked hands.

That works out at roughly $39.11 per hand, the highest profit-per-hand figure among the leading players in the study. His sample is concentrated around $200/$400, while approximately 31% of the tracked hands were played heads-up.

Another Finn, Clickr, is directly behind him. The account, widely associated within the poker community with heads-up specialist Henri Puustinen, shows almost $1.79 million in tracked profit from 71,548 hands at CoinPoker.

Even the Biggest Winners Have Plenty of Losing Days

The table is only the first part of the story. As it turns out, QuintAce also looked at how frequently the most profitable players actually finished a session in the red. Across the top 25 accounts, roughly 43% to 47% of active playing days ended as losing days.

CoinPoker produced an even sharper example of how swingy high-stakes cash games can be. The five biggest winning days recorded by its top 25 players accounted for more than 100% of their overall combined profits.

These Aren’t Lifetime Results

With all that in mind, these rankings still have some important limitations.

The figures are tracked results rather than complete lifetime records, and the available sample differs from site to site.

WPT Global provides the most complete player-population data in the research, while CoinPoker, GGPoker, PokerStars and WPN/ACR are based on sampled hand histories. Some stakes and periods are therefore absent.

The leaderboard should be read as a snapshot rather than a definitive all-time money list.
