WPT Prime Makes Its 2026 Return to Cyprus This March

CYPRUS – The World Poker Tour is making its way back to Cyprus in early 2026, with WPT Prime Cyprus confirmed for February 25 to March 9. Once again, the championship returns to Chamada Prestige Hotel & Spa, which has become familiar stop on the WPT calendar and a venue that has quietly become one of the tour’s regular destinations.
While the full festival schedule is still very much under wraps, the headline details are in place. The Cyprus stop will be built around a WPT Prime Main Event, carrying a $1,100 buy-in and a $1,000,000 guaranteed prize pool. More information on side events is expected closer to the start of the series.
For now, here’s what we know and how players can already start planning their route to Cyprus.
Main Event in Focus: WPT Prime Cyprus Championship
The heart of the Cyprus stop is the WPT Prime Cyprus Championship, which will take up the final stretch of the tournament, from March 5 to March 9, 2026. With a seven-figure guarantee attached to it, it’s one of the larger WPT Prime events on the early-year schedule.
While blind levels, starting stacks, and flight details haven’t been released yet, those elements tend to follow the standard Prime blueprint used across recent stops.
Until the full schedule is released, the Main Event remains the focal point of the trip, and the reason most players will be circling Cyprus as a must-play on their calendars.
Qualifying for Cyprus Online
Even with limited live details available, the online qualification path is already wide open. Players can begin their route to Cyprus through WPT Global, which is going to be running satellites into WPT Prime events throughout the season.
