WSOP Player of the Year

The World Series of Poker is quietly rewriting what a full season looks like. In 2026, Player of the Year will no longer be decided by a single summer sprint but by performance across three continents, three flagship live series, and nearly an entire calendar year.

WSOP has announced a $1 million Player of the Year prize pool that ties together WSOP Europe, the Las Vegas summer series, and WSOP Paradise into one continuous global race.

One Leaderboard, Three Major WSOP Stops

At the center of the announcement is a revamped Player of the Year system that rewards results across all WSOP live festivals in 2026. Points earned in Prague, Las Vegas, and Paradise will all contribute to a single leaderboard, with the top finishers sharing in a $1,000,000 prize pool.

The overall winner will receive an upgraded $100,000 WSOP Paradise package, while players finishing inside the top 100 will earn additional WSOP packages and tournament tickets.

According to WSOP leadership, the goal is simple: reward sustained excellence rather than short-term heater runs.

Prague Hosts the Opening Act With a $10M Guarantee

The race begins in Europe. WSOP Europe heads to Prague from March 31 to April 12, 2026, awarding 15 bracelets and opening the Player of the Year standings in dramatic fashion.

The €5,300 Main Event headlines the schedule with a $10,000,000 guaranteed prize pool, the largest guarantee attached to a European WSOP tournament to date. The series also introduces the European Circuit Championship, a €1,500 No Limit Hold’em event carrying a €1.5 million guarantee.

Together, they anchor a schedule that blends accessible buy-ins with high-stakes headline events.

Las Vegas Summer Series Returns in Late May

Following the European leg, the 57th annual World Series of Poker returns to Las Vegas from May 26 to July 15, 2026. Horseshoe Las Vegas and Paris Las Vegas once again serve as the host venues, continuing the setup introduced in recent years.

This stretch remains the longest and most point-rich portion of the Player of the Year race, but in 2026 it will no longer stand alone.

Paradise Closes the Year and Decides the Title

The final chapter plays out at WSOP Paradise, running from December 1 through December 18, 2026. With Player of the Year points still on the line, Paradise becomes more than a standalone winter series, it becomes the season finale.
