GUKPT Glasgow Moves Into Main Event Week After Swann Victory
- Nick Swann wins the £250 Mini Main after 411 entries, but guarantee not met.

GUKPT Glasgow has reached the point where the guarantees start stacking up.
Nick Swann has already collected the festival’s first headline title after beating 410 opponents in the Mini Main. Thursday now brings the conclusion of the £50,000 guaranteed High Roller and the opening flight of a £100,000 guaranteed Main Event at Grosvenor Casino Merchant City.
£100K Main Event Takes Over in Glasgow
The biggest tournament remaining on the schedule begins Thursday afternoon.
The Glasgow Main Event carries a £560 total entry, split between a £500 tournament buy-in and £60 fee. Its £100,000 guarantee matches the figure attached to the Mini Main that opened the festival.
Three Day 1 flights are available before the field combines on Saturday. The opening two use the regular structure, while Friday night’s Day 1C is designated as the Turbo flight.

Registration remains available until the beginning of Day 2, so the final field and prize pool will not be known until Saturday. At the time of writing, Day 1A had yet to get underway.

Nick Swann Takes the Mini Main
The opening £100,000 guarantee has already been decided.
Nick Swann won the £250 Mini Main on Wednesday after 411 entries were recorded across four opening flights. The tournament then moved through Day 2 on Tuesday before returning for its final day on August 19.
The entry count was not enough to cover the guarantee through the £220 prize-pool contribution from each entry alone, giving the first major tournament of the stop an overlay.

Swann was already familiar with late-stage GUKPT action. Among his previous results was a fifth-place finish in last year’s Edinburgh Main Event, worth £10,690.
High Roller Still to Be Decided
The other immediate title up for grabs is the £1,000 High Roller.
Day 1 began on Wednesday with 100,000-chip starting stacks and 40-minute levels. Unlike the Mini Main, the final field was still open heading into Thursday because registration remains available until the start of Day 2.
The event guarantees £50,000, with play scheduled to resume at noon and continue until a champion is crowned.
