Nevada Casinos Post One of Their Best Months Ever in July
- Nevada casinos earned $1.39B in July, up 2.1% YoY.

Nevada casinos generated $1.39 billion in July gaming revenue, up 2.1% year over year. Las Vegas Strip revenue reached $776.3 million, while baccarat and blackjack posted gains. Visitor numbers also increased as the World Series of Poker Main Event ran.
Nevada’s casino industry reported gaming revenue of $1.39 billion in July, marking a 2.1% increase from the same month in 2025, according to the Nevada Gaming Control Board.
Clark County, which includes Las Vegas, generated $1.17 billion, up 1.5% year over year. The Las Vegas Strip accounted for $776.3 million of that total, representing a 3.6% increase.
July ranked among the top months in Nevada casino history, with baccarat and blackjack contributing significant gains across Strip table games.
Baccarat and Blackjack Lift Las Vegas Strip Revenue
Baccarat generated $116.6 million on the Las Vegas Strip in July, an increase of 2.3%. The game accounted for almost half of all Strip table game revenue, which climbed 6.2% to $340.8 million.
Baccarat can have a significant effect on revenue figures because of the large amounts wagered by its wealthy gamblers, with wins and losses capable of swinging casino results.
Blackjack recorded an even sharper increase during the month. Revenue from the game surged 38.8% to $87.6 million.
Slot revenue also moved higher, increasing 1.7% to $435.5 million. The combination of stronger table game and slot revenue contributed to the Strip's 3.6% rise in July.
Las Vegas Visitation Increased in July
The casino revenue gains coincided with higher visitation to Las Vegas. According to the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, visitor volume increased 2.7% to 3.2 million in July. Total hotel room occupancy rose 1.1% to 77.2%, while weekend occupancy increased 0.4% to 89.1%.
The record-setting World Series of Poker Main Event was underway at the Horseshoe and Paris casinos during July. The event brought thousands of gamblers into Las Vegas and likely had at least some impact on the rising Strip numbers.
The World Series of Poker recorded 251,899 total entries across the series this year, the highest total ever. The series generated almost $470 million in payouts, the second-highest total in its history.
The Nevada Gaming Control Board does not provide a breakdown of poker revenue in its monthly reports.
Las Vegas also hosted several other major events in July, including the annual Independence Day celebration, UFC 329, NBA Summer League and several major concert events.
The July results followed a strong June for Nevada, despite a large decline in baccarat revenue during that month. The Strip had recorded an 8.4% decline in revenue in July 2025 as casinos dealt with declining visitor numbers.
While Clark County overall recorded a 1.5% increase to $1.17 billion, several areas outside the Las Vegas Strip reported declines.
Downtown Las Vegas gaming revenue fell 8.6% to $68.4 million. The Boulder Strip declined 2.5% to $82.7 million, while Mesquite dropped 0.5% to $15.1 million.
North Las Vegas was among the areas to record an increase, with gaming revenue rising 3.4% to $25.5 million.Laughlin was largely flat, with revenue increasing just 0.1% to $41 million.
Revenue Mostly Higher Across the Rest of Nevada
Gaming revenue was mostly higher outside Clark County in July. In Washoe County, Reno recorded a 1% increase to $76.9 million, while Sparks gaming revenue rose 9.5% to $17.1 million.
North Lake Tahoe was the only area listed outside Clark County to report a decline, with revenue falling 5.7% to $2.9 million.
South Lake Tahoe recorded a 5.1% increase to $39.6 million. Elko County was a particular bright spot, with gaming revenue climbing 13.5% to $36.8 million. The Carson Valley area also posted an increase, with revenue rising 1.1% to $12.5 million.

On the Strip, baccarat revenue reached $116.6 million and blackjack revenue rose sharply to $87.6 million. Higher Las Vegas visitation, increased hotel occupancy and a record-setting World Series of Poker Main Event were among the developments accompanying the stronger July results.
Outside Clark County, several major markets also recorded increases, led by Elko County’s 13.5% gain and Sparks’ 9.5% increase.
