The Triton Super High Roller Series Montenegro continues to deliver historic moments and massive prize pools. In the latest string of high-stakes action, Triton ambassador Danny Tang captured the biggest title of his career, while Aleks Ponakovs emerged victorious in a dramatic anniversary special.

Seven years after coming painfully close to a major breakthrough, Danny Tang secured a career-defining victory on Saturday night. Tang outlasted a formidable 159-entry field to win the Triton Super High Roller Series Montenegro $100,000 Main Event, taking home a massive first-place prize of $3,522,000.

The triumph further solidifies Tang’s legendary status in the poker community. This score pushes his lifetime live tournament earnings past the $42 million milestone. Furthermore, the victory strengthens his position at the absolute top of Hong Kong’s all-time money list.

The action remained intense in the $150,000 10th Anniversary Special, an event that drew 76 entries and generated a total prize pool of $11,400,000.

The competition culminated in a stacked final table featuring elite names from the high-stakes poker world.

American professional Jonathan Jaffe appeared positioned to claim one of the most significant titles of his career. However, a brutal hero call during the closing stages completely shifted the momentum of the tournament.

Latvian high roller Aleks Ponakovs capitalized on the shift during a dramatic heads-up clash. Ponakovs closed out the victory under the lights to claim a $3,027,000 payout. Jaffe finished as the runner-up, collecting $2,103,000 for his performance.

In other tournament areas, Tobias Schwecht leads the final seven players in the Triton $30,000 NLH/PLO event.

Meanwhile, the spotlight shifts to four-card action as the highly anticipated $100,000 Pot-Limit Omaha Main Event begins at 5 p.m. local time.

Recognized as the largest and most prestigious PLO tournament on the poker calendar, it is expected to attract an elite line-up of high-stakes talent.

Day 1 will consist of ten levels of play. Unlimited re-entry remains open until the start of Day 2, allowing the field and overall prize pool to grow.
