Triton Poker Jeju II Results So Far: Early Winners and Big Payouts

The Triton Poker Super High Roller Series Jeju II is gathering pace at Les A Casino in South Korea, with three champions already crowned and another title currently being decided.

The festival runs from September 4 to September 17 and has already produced more than $11.8 million in prize pools across its first three completed tournaments.
Add the ongoing $25,000 NLH event and the figure rises to more than $15 million, before the biggest tournaments on the schedule have even begun. 
That is Triton Poker Series!

Alexandros "Pwndidi" Theologis got the festival underway by winning the $15,000 NLH 8 Handed.

The final figures show 206 entries and a $3.09 million prize pool, with Theologis earning $642,000 after defeating Malaysia's Victor Chong heads up.

The victory was particularly significant because the Greek had already amassed millions in Triton cashes without managing to win a trophy. 

Punnat Punsri finished third for $302,000, while Wai Kiat Lee collected $245,500 in fourth. Adrian Mateos was another major name at the final table, finishing eighth for $79,000.

The second tournament produced another long awaited breakthrough.

Austria's Klemens Roiter defeated a 174 entry field in the $20,000 NLH 8 Handed, generating a $3.48 million prize pool and earning $771,000.

Roiter had repeatedly gone close on the Triton circuit without converting a final table into a victory. This time he had to overcome Alejandro Lococo heads up after the Argentine had dominated much of the final table.

Lococo eliminated five opponents (!) during the final table but could not finish the job. Roiter came back from a substantial heads up deficit to take the title. 

The biggest result of Jeju II so far belongs to Khoa Anh Ngo.

The Vietnamese player won the $25,000 Titi Poker event, defeating a 210 entry field and collecting $1,090,000 from a $5.25 million prize pool. 

Ngo was already an important name within the Triton ecosystem. He is the only player to have won two Triton ONE titles, but victory in Jeju represents his first title on the main Triton Super High Roller Series.

Anatoly Filatov finished runner up for $733,000, with Isaac Haxton taking third for $515,000.

Ngo's route through the final table included eliminating Haxton with ace seven against ace five before overcoming Filatov heads up. On the decisive hand, both players flopped a pair of eights, but Ngo improved to two pair on the turn to secure the trophy.

For all the money already awarded, the defining tournaments of Triton Jeju II are still ahead.

The schedule builds towards the $200,000 Triton Invitational, which runs from September 12 to 14 and brings Triton's invitee and professional format to Asia.

That is followed by the $100,000 NLH Main Event from September 14 to 16.

The festival then concludes its biggest buy in schedule with the $150,000 10th Anniversary Special beginning September 16, before the final $30,000 Turbo on September 17.
