Kiat Lee overcame a difficult bubble situation to win the $40,000 Mystery Bounty at Triton Poker Super High Roller Series Jeju II. Lee earned $619,000, secured his fourth Triton title, and collected eight bounty envelopes worth at least $320,000 combined.

Kiat Lee completed a remarkable turnaround at the Triton Poker Super High Roller Series Jeju II, overcoming the threat of bubble elimination to win the $40,000 Mystery Bounty and claim his fourth Triton title.

Around 2pm, Lee was facing potential elimination on the tournament bubble against Canada's Jamil Wakil. With only a tiny stack, Lee needed his hand to hold to double up and remain in contention for a payout.

Approximately nine hours later, Lee and Wakil were once again involved in a huge pot, this time with the tournament title at stake. Lee again came out ahead, winning the final pot of the event and denying Wakil his first Triton title.

The victory capped a dramatic day for Lee, who went from being on the brink of the bubble to becoming the tournament champion.

Lee's victory currently comes with $619,000 in prize money. He also has eight bounty envelopes to open during a ceremony tomorrow, with each envelope worth a minimum of $40,000.

That guarantees Lee at least another $320,000 in bounty value, putting his total payday from the event at a minimum of $939,000. Based on the provided figures, a seven-figure total payday is highly likely.

Wakil finished second for $419,000 and also secured six bounty envelopes. Although the Canadian missed out on his first Triton trophy, his result still gives him a substantial reward from the event.

The Mystery Bounty tournament attracted 133 entries, creating a $5,320,000 prize pool. Day 1 focused on reaching the point where 25 percent of the field would receive a bounty token. The 33 players who secured those tokens bagged and tagged shortly before 1am before returning for Day 2.

With the tournament moving into its bounty phase, every elimination on Day 2 was rewarded with a bounty pull.

However, players still had to navigate the official tournament bubble. The bubble would burst when only 23 players remained.

The bubble proved to be a prolonged and tense stage of the tournament, with numerous players placed under elimination threat but managing to survive.
