WPT Global Rises to Fourth in Global Poker Ranking

WPT Global has moved into fourth place among the largest online poker networks tracked by Poker Industry PRO after new cash game data provided a more complete picture of the operator's traffic.
The September rankings place WPT Global behind only GGPoker, Winamax and PokerStars, while putting it narrowly ahead of CoinPoker and the iPoker network.
Stronger Cash Game Traffic
The newly available data suggests WPT Global has a considerably stronger cash game operation than its tournament traffic alone indicated.
The change follows SharkScope Analytics beginning to track WPT Global's cash game activity. Until recently, WPT Global's figures in the PRO database were based primarily on multi table tournament entries, meaning a substantial part of the network's activity was not represented in its overall ranking.

Largest online poker networks by traffic
Poker Industry PRO uses its PRO Score to combine cash game and tournament activity into one traffic measurement. The ranking is based on trailing traffic data rather than a single day's activity.

Cash games change the picture for WPT Global
The ranking does not mean WPT Global has suddenly experienced a major traffic increase.
Instead, the main change is measurement.
SharkScope Analytics recently added WPT Global cash games to its tracking. Before that addition, the network's PRO Score was around 1,500 because its tournament activity was being measured without a corresponding cash game component.
Once cash activity was incorporated, its score moved to around 2,000 before settling at 1,870 in the September 15 snapshot.

Poker Industry PRO describes the PRO Score as a composite metric combining cash game activity and multi table tournament entries. The weighting uses broader industry data to make the two forms of poker traffic comparable.
That makes the new WPT Global figures particularly significant.
Its cash game figure stands at 1,833 compared with 2,268 for PokerStars.

WPT Global edges CoinPoker despite lower cash traffic
The comparison with CoinPoker is also revealing.
CoinPoker actually remains slightly ahead of WPT Global in cash games, recording 1,928 compared with WPT Global's 1,833.
WPT Global makes up the difference through tournament traffic.

Asia remains central to WPT Global traffic
WPT Global's position cannot be viewed solely through the traditional European online poker market.
Reports shows that a substantial portion of the network's liquidity comes through partners operating in Asia, while WPT Global has increasingly built tournament products around Asian currencies, schedules and player demand.
The operator's own tournament calendar supports that strategy.
WPT Global launched its WPT Asia Series in 2026 with ¥100 million in guaranteed prizes across more than 100 events, explicitly scheduling the festival around Asia friendly playing times.
That was followed by the WPT Asia Series Overdrive, which ran from July 19 to August 30 with ¥200 million in guaranteed tournament prizes and 13 WPT Rings available.
WPT Global has continued expanding that schedule in September, including a weekly WPT Asia Super High Roller Championship with a ¥5,300 buy in and ¥1 million guarantee.
The use of Chinese yuan for major online tournaments and the emphasis on Asian playing hours illustrate how important the region has become to the network's overall liquidity.
GGPoker is Still the Undisputed Champ
The updated rankings do not put WPT Global on the same scale as GGPoker, which remains the clear traffic leader, or even Winamax.

PokerStars remains comfortably ahead of WPT Global on the list, particularly because of its much larger tournament ecosystem. But the gap between the two networks in cash games is considerably smaller.
For WPT Global, that is arguably the most significant finding in the new data.

The addition of cash game tracking shows that its overall player liquidity is larger than those tournament numbers suggested and is now sufficient to place WPT Global fourth among the online poker networks.
