Andrii Novak won the 2026 WSOP Online Main Event on GGPoker after overturning a heads-up chip deficit against Simon Beckmann.
Ukraine's Andrii Novak won the 2026 WSOP Online Main Event on GGPoker, overcoming a substantial heads-up chip deficit against Austria's Simon Beckmann to claim his first WSOP bracelet and $3,931,259 in prize money.
The $5,000 buy-in tournament, Event #28 of the WSOP Online series, attracted 6,008 entries and generated a $28,538,000 prize pool.
Along with the first-place payout, Novak received a $30,000 Super Pass for the 2026 WSOP Paradise Super Main Event.
Novak entered the nine-handed final table as chip leader, but Beckmann accumulated a substantial advantage before their heads-up encounter.
The Ukrainian recovered with a double-up, eventually establishing a 10-to-1 chip lead before securing the title. Beckmann finished runner-up for $3,030,486.
Andrii Novak Enters WSOP Online Main Event Final Table as Chip Leader
Day 2 of the WSOP Online Main Event 2026 began with 608 players remaining from the original 6,008-entry field. Play continued until nine finalists remained in contention for the bracelet and the $3,931,259 top prize.
Novak held the largest stack entering the final table, with Beckmann starting behind him. However, the Austrian steadily accumulated chips as the field narrowed, eventually taking a substantial lead into heads-up play.
Brazil's Pablo Silva became the first finalist eliminated when his ace-queen ran into Beckmann's ace-king. Both players paired their kickers on the flop, leaving Beckmann with the stronger hand. Silva finished ninth for $491,676.
Kazakhstan's Yury "Ex Nadinsky" Nadinsky followed in eighth place after moving all-in for seven big blinds with ace-four. Canada's Charles "LaughingStorm" La Boissonniere called with ace-king, which held to eliminate Nadinsky for $637,476.
Hong Kong's Arian "Who Am I" Hassankashani was the next player to depart. His pocket tens were up against pocket jacks held by Moyan "JinWanDalaoHu36" Chen, ending Hassankashani's tournament in seventh place for $826,555.
Andrii Novak's Heads-Up Comeback Against Beckmann
Despite beginning the final table with the largest stack, Novak entered heads-up play facing a substantial chip deficit against Beckmann, who had eliminated three of the nine finalists.
Novak's recovery began with a double-up that reduced Beckmann's advantage. He subsequently moved into the lead and continued accumulating chips until he held a 10-to-1 advantage over the Austrian.
The deciding hand saw Novak move all-in with ace-jack. Beckmann called with queen-seven of hearts, putting his remaining stack at risk.
Novak paired his ace on the flop, putting him ahead. A ten on the turn left Beckmann with three outs, but a five on the river confirmed Novak's victory.
Beckmann received $3,030,486 for second place, while Novak collected $3,931,259, his first WSOP bracelet and a $30,000 Super Pass for the 2026 WSOP Paradise Super Main Event.
The result concluded the $5,000 WSOP Online Main Event, which recorded 6,008 entries and awarded $28,538,000 in prize money.
