Daniel Negreanu finished fourth in the WSOP Online $25,000 High Roller Championship for $415,699, falling short of a ninth bracelet. Casimir Seire defeated Fabiano Kovalski heads-up to claim the WSOP bracelet and the $906,647 first-place prize in the event.
Daniel Negreanu finished fourth in the WSOP Online $25,000 High Roller Championship, earning $415,699 after making another deep run in a major WSOP event.
The eight-time World Series of Poker bracelet winner reached the final table among the leading stacks and remained in contention until four players were left. His elimination ended a bid for what would have been the ninth WSOP bracelet of his career.
Casimir Seire went on to win the tournament, defeating Fabiano Kovalski heads-up to claim the bracelet and $906,647.
Negreanu entered the closing stages of the $25,000 High Roller Championship among the chip leaders as the remaining field moved toward the final table.
The Canadian was positioned to challenge for another WSOP title and stayed among the contenders as the tournament approached its decisive stages.
Several established players were also involved late in the event, including Casimir Seire, Fabiano Kovalski, Ole Schemion, Roman Emelyanov and Parahat Nurmuhammedov.
Negreanu maintained his position as the field continued to narrow, keeping his ninth-bracelet bid alive heading into the final stages.
Negreanu continued his run as play reached five-handed, with the remaining players competing for the largest payouts and a place in the heads-up stage.
The final table remained closely contested as the field was reduced further. Negreanu stayed involved through this phase and advanced into the final four, putting him within three eliminations of another WSOP bracelet.
Negreanu's run eventually ended in fourth place, securing a payout of $415,699. The finish brought his challenge in the $25,000 High Roller Championship to an end without adding to his existing WSOP bracelet total.
Casimir Seire Takes Top Spot
Following Negreanu's elimination, Casimir Seire and Fabiano Kovalski progressed to heads-up play.
Seire eventually defeated Kovalski to win the $25,000 High Roller Championship, securing the WSOP bracelet and the $906,647 top prize.
Kovalski finished runner-up, while Negreanu's fourth-place result left him short of securing bracelet number nine.
The tournament concluded with Seire taking the title after Negreanu had remained in contention until only four players were left.
