iPOPS Returns With €500K Main Event as ChampionPoker Joins Month-Long iPoker Series

One of iPoker’s longest-running tournament brands is back in the lobby.

The iPoker Online Poker Series, better known as iPOPS to most veterans in the game, returned on August 30 for a month-long schedule running through September 29. ChampionPoker players have access to the series through the shared iPoker network, alongside players on other skins including Bet365, Betfred, BoyleSports, Paddy Power Poker, RedStar Poker, Betsson and NordicBet.

More than 1,000 tournaments are expected across the festival, with buy-ins ranging from €1 to €1,000 and satellites starting at €0.01. The centrepiece is a €500 Main Event carrying a €500,000 guarantee on September 27.

The Main Event arrives on Sunday, September 27 and keeps things fairly traditional compared with some of the knockout-heavy side schedule.

It is an eight-max No-Limit Hold’em tournament with a €500 buy-in and €500,000 guaranteed. The published structure lists a starting stack equivalent to 250 big blinds, five hours of late registration and up to 20 re-entries.

The Main Event always gets the biggest guarantee, but there are still several other events reach six figures.

The €55 Mini Main Event lands one week earlier on September 20 with €200,000 guaranteed.

There are also two month-long flighted events. The €75 Eliminator XXL carries €200,000 guaranteed, while the €250 Knockout Championship has €300,000 guaranteed. Their decisive stages take place at the end of September.

The rest of the schedule mixes standard NLHE with PLO, mixed games, PKOs, Mystery Bounties and flighted tournaments.
