Malta, the southernmost jewel among Europe’s poker hubs, is once again set to host one of the most popular events for mid-stakes tournament grinders - the Malta Poker Festival Spring Edition 2026, running between April 19–27 at Portomaso Casino.
With record-breaking entries at the MPF Spring 2025, this year not only the main event got a significant boost to its guaranteed prize pool, but also other events are expected to grow bigger than ever before.

Malta Poker Festival Spring 2026 - Quick Event Overview
One of the best things about MPF Spring Edition is the multitude of events covering most popular NL Holdem formats including Mystery Bounty but also Mixed Games tournaments.

MPF Spring 2026 Main Event
The centerpiece of the festival is the MPF Grand Event, which traditionally draws the largest fields of the series.
Last year record breaking attendance doubled the guaranteed prizepool of €300,000 to over €600,000.
In April, with €500,000 GTD, MPF Grand Event is set to break the record once again. Most likely there will be over 1,000 participants aiming to get their piece of the cake.

APAT Maltese Championship
Hands down one of the best tournaments for beginners to burst their live bubble is the APAT Maltese Championship 2026.
This tournament is not for the seasoned live poker veterans unless you are prepared to shave your beard and prepare a proper fake ID.
Jokes aside. With €150 buy-in you can challenge other amateurs and play from a prize pool that might go as high as €50k or more.
In previous MPF Spring 2025 the total prize pool landed at over €36,000 attracting 383 entries.
The APAT Maltese Championship is part of the APAT Live Tour 2026, which visits 20 destinations across Europe and beyond.
The Hendon Mob Championship
Another major highlight is The Hendon Mob Championship (THMC), one of the regulars of Malta Poker Festival schedule.
